about

Our first big interstate tour was Sydney and we played the joints of King's Cross. This song was on the album 'In the year of 5AD' where we played and sang with the DJs. It was a lot of fun.

lyrics

Woolloomooloo Lulu
words & music Haydn Hill, Valdis Adamsons, Rod Boucher 1971 Adelaide

Woolloomooloo Lulu, what’ll I do.
Woolloomooloo Lulu, what’ll you do.
Woolloomooloo Lulu, what’ll she do.
Woolloomooloo Lulu, what’ll we do.
Woolloomooloo Lulu, won’t you say woo woo.
Go girl Go, Go.

See the baby on the ocean pier
give the boys the eye to come on here.
See the baby she’s a’waitin’ all day
for the sailor man to come her way.
She’s a baby and they need her so,
Woolloomooloo Lulu, Go girl Go Go.

Woolloomooloo Lulu, what’ll I do.
Woolloomooloo Lulu, what’ll you do.
Woolloomooloo Lulu, what’ll she do.
Woolloomooloo Lulu, what’ll we do.
Woolloomooloo Lulu, won’t you say woo woo.
Go girl Go, Go.

INSTRUMENTAL piano

Takes their money and she takes their pay,
tells ‘em come again some other day.
She’s a woman drivin’ you insane,
bring you pleasure and she brings you pain.
